The most popular intellectual objection put forth by skeptics regarding Christianity is what is called, "the problem of evil." Skeptics commonly look at the presence of evil and suffering in the world and find it to be incompatible with the existence of a loving, all-powerful God. They reason, "If God is all loving, he WOULD end the evil and suffering. If he was all-powerful, he COULD end the evil and suffering. Evil and suffering persist, therefore a loving, all-powerful God must not exist."
How might we as Christians respond to this kind of reasoning? Why DOES God allow evil and suffering to persist? In a fifty minute message given at Calvary Chapel Vista, Charlie Campbell answers these questions and others.
