    Young Adult Apologetic Novel

Posted by Nate Kowallis on 9th Oct 2024

True to Charlie's other apologetics novels, the Christian unapologetically shares his faith with those around him, prayerfully discourses with God, and saves the day by faithful submission to miraculous intervention. Unlike the Dakota Knox series and Celestia story, books that allude to more graphic violence and crimes, this novel addresses more harrowing themes directly. While still a "clean" read, Charlie doesn't shy away from the reality of darker sins and peoples' responses to them. Written for an adult audience, it's not beyond what teens normally experience in secular media and public discourse. That said, Charlie's goal is to glorify God and make Him accessible to a variety of people, and he doesn't want to put any stumbling block before any youths through unnecessary exposure. In my opinion, this is a safe read for teens, but I advise parents to be prepared to have intentional discussions about its content. Some of the lines of reasoning for the faith are repeated from his previous books, but the new context for them helps the older reader to see that God's objective reality is neither marred nor confused by more or less traumatic circumstances. New to this book, however, are a couple QR codes to Charlie's other resources. He's always included a shameless plug to his work, and the QR codes add a quick reference to the exhaustive resources and more developed answers about the Christian faith, making this book a sort of tract to the ABR website and ultimately to reasonable faith in Christ. Keep up the good work, brother, and may the Lord be glorified!

If you like charming dialogue, heart pumping action, clean-romance, a quick read, but it makes you think? Check out Nighthawk! You will find characters you will fall in love with, a plot that won't stop you from turning the next page! It's literally a page turner! I recommend age 18+ for this one! There's some heavy topics for younger readers. This book is VERY GOOD! Enjoy!
