Archaeological Evidence for the Bible (Paperback, Full Color Edition)

Is the Bible a book of mythology? Are the persons, places and events in the Bible fabrications by deceitful men? Many critics of Christianity say yes but archaeological discoveries say no. For the past 150 years archaeologists have been verifying the exact truthfulness of the Bible’s detailed records of various events, customs, persons, cities, nations, and geographical locations.

In this book Charlie Campbell discusses dozens of fascinating discoveries—both old and new—that have overturned critics’ theories of the Bible and helped to confirm the historical reliability of the Scriptures. If you have questions or doubts about the reliability of the Bible, this book will be a great help to you. Click on the images above to see sample pages. A Great Book

This is a great book for people who know very little about the historical and archeological evidence. I love it to help new and old believers get interested in physical defense of scripture and Christianity.

Colorful, concise, and up to date.

It is a great book to strengthen the believer and engage the curious as to the historicity of the Bible. The author strays from sensationalism and instead opts to provide solid, scholarly archaeological evidences. The photos were fantastic and the book was very engaging!

Recommended book on archaeology and bible

Posted by Alex van Vuuren / From a review on Amazon on 23rd Aug 2014

From what I have seen and read about archaeological evidence for the bible, this is definitely one of the best resources. Charlie Campbell has made an attractive book that is accessible in format and reading level to almost anybody. He wisely has chosen only the evidence which has been well established. Recommended for everyone who is interested in reading about the historical reliability of the scriptures. Great resource for homeschoolers.

Another great apologetics resource from Charlie Campbell!

Posted by Marybeth on 13th May 2014

If you are new to apologetics or need to add some resources to your personal library, this is one of the books you won't regret buying. My husband and I have just began our journey through Christian apologetics after realizing how many people we are surrounded by on a daily basis that can't actually state a reason for their beliefs. We are also in a community populated by the Mormon church, and next time they knock on our door, we will be sure to lovingly invite them inside for some serious discussion. Sometimes just having a "printout" of an online article or photo isn't nearly as useful as being able to show full color photos from an actual book. Since we can't physically take anyone to the actual sites to see the evidence firsthand, this book will be incredibly useful to back up our case for the abundance of archaeological evidence in support of the (one true) Bible. The explanations are basic enough that anyone can understand them, but they by no means "dumb it down" to the point of this being just a silly resource. I have devoured this book from cover to cover, and I know it will be something I frequently reference for decades. He also puts the references directed back to the original resource at the bottom of each page which makes it easy to cross reference the materials. This book is worth purchasing for sure! *clap clap clap* Nice work, Charlie!

    I highly recommend this book

Posted by John via Amazon Review / Posted by ABR on 17th Oct 2013

This is the one I have been looking for. It provides archaeological discoveries that relate to various Biblical accounts of events, places and people. It first presents the Scripture and then lists some archaeological discovery that relates to that particular Scripture. It is arranged to follow the organization of the Bible. Hence, it is very easy to find collaborative archaeological data for the Scripture of interest. I highly recommend this book for those who are interested in secular data that supports the authenticity of the Holy Bible.

    Great Book!

Posted by ABR (from Amazon review) on 27th Aug 2013

Great book! 5 star rating for being insightful and just plain fascinating. I really liked how Charlie was technical enough to pique my interest but not so technical that I would get lost in archaeological jargon. I think I am ready now for a "deeper dive" by Charlie! I would recommend this book to fellow Christians who want to learn about the fascinating world of biblical archaeology and also to those searching for God and the truth.

I'm a bit more than halfway through the book now and I've got to say, it's truly amazing! It's the first book of its kind I've owned, (specifically regarding biblical history/archaeology), and I don't think I could've made a better first choice. I'd recommend this for anyone just starting out in archaeological research from a biblical perspective, and as Charlie mentions on page 14, I'd say it's absolutely perfect for those "who do not have the time to read the 200-500 page books on the topic."
